+ QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program: The QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program gives outstanding low-income high school juniors an early advantage in college admissions. College Prep Scholars are uniquely prepared to gain admission and full scholarships to top-tier colleges through QuestBridge. The majority are also selected as Finalists for the National College Match. + 3DObject Modeling and Printing Camp at Gettysburg College: Spend 5 days at Gettysburg College, studying” 3D 3D object modeling and printing starting with the basics of a 3D printer. + Adruino Camp at Gettysburg College. Spend 5 days at Gettysburg College using your “creativity and the easy-to-learn Arduino to create projects with its sensors, motors, speakers and displays…that interact with them and their world.” To learn more, visit their website. + Carnegie Mellon Summer Programs for Access & Inclusion: Three or six week academic programs created to give students a taste of Carnegie Mellon. Rising high school Juniors or Seniors can enroll in the following options: art/design, architecture, drama, and music. NO tuition, housing, or dining fees if you are selected for this program. Click here for more information. Students will need to submit an application, transcript, most recent PSAT or SAT scores, two recommendation letters, two essays, and a resume for consideration. Program Duration: June 30 - July 22, 2018 Apply By: March 3rd, 2018.
+ Centenary Summer Scholars: One week programs allow 8th-12th grade students to pick a “major” and an elective to explore areas of interest to them. Each course is designed to offer hands-on and project-based learning experiences with enthusiastic, talented teachers in small class sizes. Off-campus excursions and field trips, such as to NYC are included. “Majors” offered are: Veterinary Science (separated large and small animals), Forensic Science, Writer’s Workshop, Studio Arts, Fashion Design, Computer Game Design, Television Production, and Sustainability/Environmental Science. Potential elective courses are: Equestrian Center, Architecture and Design, Astronomy, Screenwriting, Public Speaking, SpyCraft, and Digital Photography and Editing. + Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA): A two-week pre-college program for students interested in art and design. This program offers an experiential approach to problem solving, creating, and collaborating. Every day, students will work with top professionals and instructors in the studio, stay in campus dorms, and explore the world-class museums and institutions nearby. Available to rising sophomores to seniors. Some programs to choose from include: Animation, Fashion & Jewelry, Game Design, Glassblowing, and Illustration. Students earn 3 college credits. + Cyber Defense Training Camp: An intermediate level camp for 5 days at the University of Maryland, College Park for high school men and women (rising juniors and seniors). You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of cybersecurity and gain practical skills through instruction by an experienced security professional. Students learn about the field, take at least one field trip and hear from a variety of speakers to learn more about how to prepare to enter this exciting profession. +Dartmouth Bound Summer Program: The Dartmouth Bound STEM Program provides participants with insight into what life is like at Dartmouth, as well as information about the admissions and financial aid process. Program highlights include seminars, tours, and financial aid workshops. All students accepted into the program have their transportation costs covered. + Designing a Digital Future Camp: Hosted by Pennsylvania College of Technology, this two-day workshop provides students with hands-on learning opportunities. Workshops include: Gaming, Simulation, Computer Programming, Interactive Media, Mobile Application, Social Networking Applications, and Web Design! For students grades 10-12. + Intermediate CyberStem Camp at UMD: The Intermediate CyberSTEM camp is a one-week commuter summer program at the University of Maryland, College Park for high school (incoming 9th and 10th grade) girls who are interested in the growing field of cybersecurity. This 4 day experience provides hands-on activities focused on STEM and cybersecurity topics such as programming, digital forensics, system vulnerabilities, cyberethics, cybersaftey and cybersecurity, as well as cryptography. + UPenn Engineering Summer Academy in Applied Science & Technology: 3-week program for rising 10th-12th graders from the University of Pennsylvania. Earn college credit in: Biotechnology, computer graphics, computer science, nanotechnology, robotics, or engineering complex networks. + St. Francis University STEM Academies: A week-long programs designed to provide an opportunity for talented high school students between their sophomore/junior and junior/senior years to experience science, engineering, and computer science in action. Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit while working in teams to complete a real world project and present their results. + Terp Young Scholars 2018: hosted by University of Maryland, Terp Young Scholars is a “great summer option for high schoolers who are looking for a challenging academic experience.” During Terp, students will: learn from UMD’s distinguished faculty, earn three university credits, explore new academic fields, and live and work with talented peers. +PACAC Camp College: Camp College is an intensive three day/two night workshop designed for 60 rising high school seniors and juniors. Paired with mentors, participants will learn about all aspects of the college search and application process, experience life in the residence halls, learn about financial aid, standardized test exams and have a lot of fun! +HCC Cybersecurity Summer Institute: The 2018 CSI will offer a very unique learning opportunity for students who are interested in advancing their education in a field related to Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Computer Science. This program will offer selected students an opportunity to earn three college credits during the seven-week summer institute.
